Tube Polishers, Mirror Tube Polishers and Tube Deburrers: new machine models are arriving and set to make your fabrication life easier and more efficient! Does your fabrication need to be aesthetically pleasing? Do you need to remove markings from material? These new machines are ideal for lightbar manufacturers and handrail fabricators!
During the process of fabrication, it is inevitable your material will receive scratches or surface marks. Therefore, if your final product needs to be aesthetically pleasing, you may be required to surface finish your piece. With flat pieces, this is ideally done with linishers, or sanders. Whether that is a drum sander, belt sander, or orbital sander. However, on round surfaces this becomes more difficult, even impossible to perform. The DIMAKIN range of tube polishers is the ideal solution for returning a consistent finish to tube or pipe. This tube can be straight or bent! (see each model’s minimum bend graph for more details!)
With two belts moving in a planetary motion (that is, not only do the belts each spin individually, but both belts revolve around the central material to cover all surfaces of the tube or pipe), in only a few seconds you can return a consistent surface finish. All that is required from you, is to decide on your grade of abrasive belt grit, and get fabricating!
However, if you’re looking for more of a mirror finish to your tube polishers, you’re in luck! In addition to abrasive belt-style tube polishers. We have mop-wheel style mirror tube polishing machines.
A mirror tube polisher is very similar to a tube polishing machine, but goes that extra mile! With the help of semi-automatic soap application, the MTP-115 can bring a mirror shine finish to your stainless steel. For industries involved in aesthetic fabrication such as truck lightbars, or handrails, this machine is ideal. Three polishing mop wheels spin in a planetary motion, making contact with the steel, and returning a mirror shine. With capacities from 40mm (1.57”), up to 114mm (4.48”) OD, size adjustment of the machine is performed by simply adjusting two material rests, to confirm the centre point of the material. What is more impressive about this machine, and both abrasive tube polishers, is that this operation can be performed on straight or bent tubes!

Once you use a Tube Deburring machine, you’ll wonder how you ever did without it! A tube deburrer is a machine that cleans and removes swarf, burrs, and similar sharp edges from metal profiles. Due to the sawing process, metal profiles are very often subject to sharp unfinished edges that haven’t quite fallen off. These edges will need cleaning up, most often with a cheap handheld deburring tool. This can be tedious and time consuming, without the guarantee of a good result. Additionally, many fabricators opt for using a belt sander, which can only access the outside of the material. However, when working with more complex material such as extruded aluminium, the surface that requires deburring can increase twenty-fold. This exponentially increases the time and effort required to deburr material.
Three steel brushes rotate individually, and as a group to provide brushing to the surface of the material from every angle. With the help of the TD-120, literally any tube, pipe, box, or profile can be deburred within two seconds. Even, and especially, the complicated ones. Once removed, the previously sharp and dangerous metal will be left with a soft and smooth finish on all sides.
If you deal with extruded aluminium profiles, you absolutely need to invest in the TD-120!
